Martha Gittens, training at the Jing Advanced Massage School in Brighton.

The passion and drive I feel for my bodywork practices deepens and develops with each day; Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Baby Massage guidance; I have and continue to train with some truly inspiring practitioners; exploring the potential that effective bodywork practices offer.

My work is dedicated to supporting the powerful and transforming processes unique in all stages of a woman's life, people coping with and balancing stress (in all its forms) as well as those suffering soft tissue pain and tension.

Working with each client to create tailored treatments that reflect their needs, hopes and preferences. I draw from my knowledge and experience in acupressure (acupuncture) points and meridians (shiatsu), reflexology, advanced clinical massage techniques which include deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, scar work, soft tissue release, dynamic hot (or cold) stone therapy, sports stretching using passive stretching, PNF (proprioceptive muscular facilitation) and AIS (active isolated stretching) and joint mobilisation as well as Indian and Japanese face massage and beauty facial techniques.

I work with families during their journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond and have come together to offer an online hub with an amazing team of therapists, teachers and practitioners working in this area. I offer treatments during pregnancy, teaching hands-on techniques to birth partners (to empower their absolutely vital supporting role, enriching their, mums and babys shared birth experience) and guiding new parents as they explore with their baby the beautifully nurturing and bonding magic of massage.

I am delighted and honoured that my treatments are offered within the incredibly nourishing Going with Yin womens’ retreats, ‘a personal and unique retreat experience, like a prescription from your soul’.

If you have any questions or would like to book a treatment or class then I would love to hear from you!
