Martha Gittens, training at the Jing Advanced Massage School in Brighton.

I am passionate in my practices, Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Baby Massage Teaching and have trained with some truly inspiring people! I continue to explore effective bodywork practices and the potential that they offer.

Supporting people in coping with and balancing stress (in all its forms) really drives me in my work. Much of my work is with mums-to-be and new mums as well as those suffering soft tissue pain and tension.

I work with each client, creating tailored treatments that reflect their needs, hopes and preferences. I draw from my knowledge and experience in acupressure (acupuncture) points and meridians (shiatsu), reflexology, advanced clinical massage techniques which include deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release, sports stretching using passive stretching, PNF (proprioceptive muscular facilitation) and AIS (active isolated stretching) and joint mobilisation as well as Indian and Japanese face massage and beauty facial techniques.

I support families during their journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Offering treatments during pregnancy, teaching hands-on techniques to birth partners (to empower their absolutely vital supporting role, enriching their, mum's and baby's shared birth experience) and guiding new parents and baby's as they explore together the nurturing and beautifully bonding magic of massage.

If you have any questions or would like to book a treatment or class then I would love to hear from you!
